dc.description.abstractEn este estudio se hace un acercamiento a la realidad de familias monomarentales y monoparentales en la ciudad de Medellín, Colombia, en cuanto a la pertenencia a un nivel socioeconómico y su relación con el clima familiar. El estudio se diseñó bajo la metodología cualitativa, teoría fundada, por medio de entrevistas semiestructuradas. Se desarrolló en el año 2013 y se trabajó con 18 familias de un solo progenitor y las entrevistas se realizaron tanto al padre o a la madre como al hijo/a adolescente. Los hallazgos describen las características de las familias participantes diferenciadas de acuerdo con su nivel socio económico (NSE) y a los elementos que hacen posible o limitan el desarrollo de la cohesión familiar.
dc.description.abstractenglishThis research study approaches the reality of single-parent families from the city of Medellín (Colombia), by analyzing their socioeconomic level and its relationship with the family atmosphere. The study, carried out in 2013, was designed using a qualitative grounded theory methodology, through semi-structured interviews administered to 18 single-parent families. The interviews were conducted either with the father or the mother and with the adolescent son/daughter. The findings section describes the features of the participating families differentiated by their socio-economic level (SEL) as well as the elements that foster or limit the development of family cohesion.eng
