Digital tax transformation in Latin America faces key challenges and opportunities, especially with the integration of artificial intelligence into fiscal management. This systematic review analyzes studies, reports and literature published between 2015 and 2025 on the application of artificial intelligence in tax administration, with a comparative focus on experiences such as Peru and Colombia. More than 50 academic and official sources were consulted using Scopus, Google Scholar, Dialnet, and institutional repositories. Results highlight progress in automation, electronic invoicing, fraud detection and taxpayer assistance; however, barriers such as algorithmic biases, cybersecurity, talent gaps and internal resistance persist. The importance of strengthening citizen trust and the ethical framework is discussed. Recommendations for Colombia are offered, and future research lines are proposed to consolidate data governance and efficient tax collection.eng
