| dc.description.abstract | El bienestar de adolescentes en sistemas de protección es un área de interés para disciplinas como la psicología y la pedagogía y conocer los factores asociados al bienestar es importante para el desarrollo de políticas públicas y la implementación de estrategias de intervención socioeducativas. Este artículo presenta una revisión sistemática de la literatura cuyo objetivo fue identificar los factores asociados al bienestar psicológico de los adolescentes en medios residenciales entre 2018 y 2025. Para ello, se analizaron 23 estudios seleccionados a partir de un total de 294 registros encontrados en cinco bases de datos internacionales. Los resultados revelan como factores asociados al bienestar psicológico la resiliencia, la existencia de redes de apoyo, las relaciones socioafectivas, la preparación para la vida independiente y la estabilidad emocional. Asimismo, se observa que los adolescentes atendidos en el sistema de protección poseen una percepción de bienestar inferior en comparación con sus pares en contextos familiares tradicionales. Estos hallazgos subrayan la necesidad de ampliar la investigación sobre el bienestar y la calidad de vida de los adolescentes tutelados en el sistema de protección, así como de intervenciones que prioricen la atención individualizada, la educación y el acompañamiento continuo para garantizar oportunidades de desarrollo en los adolescentes previendo su egreso y vinculación a la sociedad. | |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | The well-being of adolescents within child protection systems is an area of interest for disciplines such as psychology and pedagogy, and understanding the factors associated with well-being is important for the development of public policies and the implementation of socio-educational intervention strategies. This article presents a systematic literature review aimed at identifying the factors linked to psychological well-being among adolescents living in foster settings between 2018 and 2025. To this end, 23 studies were selected from 294 records retrieved from five international databases. Findings indicate that factors such as resilience, support networks, socioemotional relationships, readiness for independent living, and emotional stability influence the adolescents’ psychological well-being. Moreover, adolescents in the child protection system reported lower levels of perceived well-being than their peers in traditional family environments. These findings underscore the need to expand research on the well-being and quality of life of adolescents in the child protection system and also point to the importance of interventions that prioritize individualized care, education, and ongoing support to ensure developmental opportunities that prepare youth for transitioning out of the system and reintegrating safely into society. | |
