| dc.description.abstract | El artículo presenta las historias de vida de cinco niñeses sordas escolarizadas en una escuela bilingüe-bicultural en Neiva (Colombia), desarrolladas desde un enfoque cualitativo-narrativo y biográfico en el marco de una pasantía doctoral. El estudio articula aportes de la geografía de la infancia, la filosofía de la alteridad, los estudios críticos de la sordera y la pedagogía del buen vivir, con el propósito de comprender cómo las niñeses habitan la territorialidad escolar y comunitaria desde su “voz visual”. La investigación emplea dispositivos narrativo-visuales —juegos, dibujos y recorridos— que permiten acceder a significados corporales y afectivos. Los resultados evidencian la agencia de las niñeses sordas en la resignificación de espacios, vínculos y prácticas de cuidado, así como la importancia de reconocer la sordera como diferencia lingüística y cultural. “Escuchar con los ojos” se propone como una ética pedagógica que legitima múltiples lenguajes, promueve la paciencia y el respeto, y transforma la inclusión en práctica cotidiana de esperanza. | spa |
| dc.description.abstractenglish | This article presents the life stories of five Deaf childhoods attending a bilingual-bicultural school in Neiva, Colombia. Conducted as part of a doctoral internship, the study employs a qualitative, narrative, and biographical approach. Drawing on childhood geographies, the philosophy of otherness, critical Deaf studies, and the pedagogy of Buen Vivir, the research explores how these children experience and shape school and community spaces through what is described as their “visual voice.” To access embodied and affective dimensions, the study uses a range of narrative-visual methods, including games, drawings, and walks. The findings highlight the agency of deaf children in reinterpreting spaces, relationships, and practices of care. They also underscore the importance of understanding deafness as a linguistic and cultural difference. The article proposes “listening with the eyes” as a pedagogical ethic that acknowledges diverse forms of communication, fosters patience and mutual respect, and reimagines inclusion as a daily practice grounded in hope. | en |
