dc.description.abstract	El propósito de presente artículo es presentar una evaluación del desempeño financiero de la pequeña y mediana constructora de otras obras de ingeniería civil de Colombia en el periodo 2016-2021. La metodología del estudio analiza los indicadores contables y de gestión del valor que miden su crecimiento, eficiencia, eficacia y efectividad, bajo un enfoque cuantitativo y de alcance exploratorio y descriptivo. Se encuentra que las ventas, activos y utilidad neta oscilaron en varios años. La efectividad en el logro de utilidades contables para los inversionistas y propietarios de la mediana es más alta debido a su mayor eficacia en el control de costos y gastos, además, en promedio, crea valor económico agregado, contrario a la pequeña que destruye este valor.
dc.description.abstractenglish	The purpose of this article is to present an evaluation of the financial performance of small and medium-sized construction companies of other civil engineering works in Colombia for the period 2016-2021. The methodology of the study analyzes the accounting and value management indicators that measure its growth, efficiency, efficacy and effectiveness, under a quantitative approach and exploratory and descriptive scope. It is found that sales, assets and net income oscillated in several years. The effectiveness in achieving accounting profits for investors and owners of the medium-sized company is higher due to its greater efficacy in controlling costs and expenses, and also, on average, it creates added economic value, as opposed to the small one, which destroys this value.	en
